Americans have paid more for freedom than for anything else. The price for Alaska was $7.2 million and the Louisiana Purchase cost only $15 million. Almost 50,000 lives were lost in the War of Independence and the War of 1812 with Great Britain. More than 600,000 people gave their lives in the Civil War, which brought freedom to the slaves and preserved the Union. For a time after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the dream of freedom in a world at peace seemed to be on the brink of unfolding.

They expelled Saddam Hussein's army from Kuwait, fought extremists in Somalia, secured peace in Bosnia, then in Kosovo, and cleared the skies over Iraq. It has always been the case that we have been unable to predict with anything approaching certainty when or from which corner of the earth would come the next threats to freedom.
We thought that we could avoid being drawn into the first great war of the twentieth century, but we were wrong. Confident that the ghastly toll would never be forgotten and that World War I would be "the war to end all wars," we turned our attention to our domestic travails and dramatically reduced our army and limited our navy. Japan's 1941 attack and Hitler's worldwide aggression proved these to have been very unwise indeed.

Right now, the Texas public school system is embroiled in a major
battle over efforts to re-write our history and remove references
to our Judeo-Christian heritage from their textbooks.
The Texas State Board of Education will soon finalize the language
that publishers use to align their textbooks to current "acceptable
standards." Many of the suggestions that are coming forward are
shocking:
+Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen."
+Stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible
citizenship in a global society."
+Removing all references to Daniel Boone, General George
Patton, Nathan Hale, and Columbus Day.
+Replacing "expansionism and free enterprise" with
"imperialism and capitalism."
+Even stripping "Christmas Day" from all textbooks.
And since it is one of the nation's largest states, Texas greatly
influences the textbooks and ultimately the curricula employed by
many other states. Tens of millions of children will likely be
impacted.

the entire House of Representatives will stand for re-election;
all 435 of them.
One third of the Senate,
a total of 33 of them, will also stand for re-election.
Vote every incumbent out.
And I mean every one of them.
No matter their Party affiliation.
Let's start all over in the House of Representatives with 435 people
who have absolutely no experience in running that body,
with no political favors owed to anyone but their own constituents.
Let's make them understand that they work for us....
They are answerable to us
and they simply have to run that body with some common sense.
Two years later, in 2012,
vote the next third of the incumbents in the Senate out.
We can do the same thing in 2014 and,
by that time we will have put all new people in that body as well..
We, the People,
have got to take this Country back and we HAVE to do it peacefully.
That's what the Framers of our Constitution envisioned..
I am also suggesting term limits on the NEW BUNCH
8 YEARS FOR REPRESENTATIVES AND 12 YEARS OF SENATORS.

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed
presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several
failed
presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one
strong
common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course,
LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic
by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his
reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant
overture
to China
But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And
failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most
importantly, in
forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing
because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed
loathe
them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has
lost
control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American
Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing
because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual
dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.
But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new
president riding in on a wave of precedented promise and goodwill have
forfeited
his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in
free
fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point
advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?
No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative
about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly
disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated
and
doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws
upon
the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the
American character that intersects with their own where they display a
command of
history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that
resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We
admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who
seem
stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are
aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our
own: Teddy
Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.
But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows
nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small
minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's
not
one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content,
like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper.
Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to
our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how
things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of
the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our
experience.
In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this
man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers,
banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital
administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green
job.
Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012:
"For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not
offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second
term, I could have offended you too."
Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787
devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both
houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress
can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of
legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after
that.
Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them. The coyotes
howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along.

Respect the Office ? Yes.
Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say.
I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.
Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT
uniting behind Obama!
I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it.
I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a
one-term President!
Why am I doing this ?
It is because:
- I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America ;
- I do not share his Abortion beliefs;
- I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;
- I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);
- I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;
- I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
- I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
- I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American Citizens who need help;
- I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
- I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend
and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
- I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);
- I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system
in America;
- I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East; and
- I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .
Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right
For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!
They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!
They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!
They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years!
They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!
They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ from our Society!
They have challenged capital punishment, the right to
bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code!
They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms,
the right of free speech!
Unite behind Obama? Never!!!
I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!
PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!
Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his "goals for America ."
I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!
I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!
