In Sean's first new book in six years, “ Conservative Victory,” -- he issues a stirring call to action. Hannity surveys all the major Obama players and delves into today's hot issues -- from the president's affiliation with radical theology to his advisers’ history of Marxist activism, repression of the media, support for leftist dictators, and worse. He exposes their resulting campaign to dismantle the American free-market system and forfeit our national sovereignty. Sean draws on the example of Ronald Reagan's legacy and the GOP’s Contract with America, to show how conservatives can unite behind this country’s most cherished principles. He urges Americans to act now to get our nation back on the right track - while we still can.

Many out-of-work Americans would have begun to lose unemployment and health benefits this week during a one-man filibuster in the Senate which temporarily blocked a measure to extend those and other programs for another month. The man creating the filibuster was Sen. Jim Bunning. Why would someone block a measure that on the surface appears to help those desperately in need? Senator Bunning joined Sean by phone to discuss his reasoning. The Senator explained that extending the provisions would add to spiraling budget deficits because the bill is not paid for. "If we can't find $10 billion to pay for it, we will not pay for anything," he said. "The debt that we have arrived at … it's unsustainable." Bunning suggested that Congress pay for the measure with unused economic stimulus funds. The Congressman agreed yesterday to end his one-man hold but pointed out to Sean he believes he successfully demonstrated that our government needs to be more f iscally conservative with our hard earned tax dollars.
Draining The Swam
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi won her job in part by denouncing Congresss culture of corruption, and promised to drain the swamp. Has she succeeded? Rep. Pete King (R-NY), who joined Sean on the NewsMaker hotline, says the House Speaker has failed miserably. Speaker Pelosi has been totally hypocritical on this. She has been so self righteous and so moralizing, yet there are so many allegations out there against a significant number of Democrats. The conversation turned quickly to Congressman Charles Rangel, who stepped down earlier today as chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee amid ethics inquiries. I feel Rangel did the right thing, said King, but again, the hypocrisy of the Democratic leadership is what really surprises me with this.
GOP Preparing To Slow Or Block Health Bill
According to an article appearing on TheHill.com, Republicans are preparing to slow or even block passage of the health care bill. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), appearing on FOX News, said , "I still think it creates a lot of problems when it comes back to the Senate because there will be lots of points of order that will lie against the bill in the Senate, and obviously, we will, hopefully, have the opportunity to raise some of those. Democrats may attempt to ram the health care bill without Republican approval using reconciliation rules. Under these rules, the health care bill would only have to gain simple majority in the Senate instead of the 60 normally needed to end a filibuster. When asked about the possibility of Democrats actually using reconciliation to push the health care bill through, Thune wasnt so sure. "I think we have to be prepared for all types of different scenarios and sort of gam e this out," Thune explained. "I mean, our goal at the end is to stop a really bad bill from passing."
Sean was joined by author David Kupelian who penned the book, “How Evil Works” which explores the inner workings of how evil works. “I couldn’t put this book down,” offered Sean, “this book goes a long way toward explaining what evil is.” Why is it so important to analyze evil? As David explains, “Look at Washington, they’re drawn to power and seduce the rest of us to all kinds of lies.” It’s true, can you think of a more evil place than Congress? Stuart Varney and Bob Beckel
The great Stuart Varney joined the great Bob Beckel for yet another great debate. Varney kicked off the debate saying, “I can see Beckel flipping me the bird but we’re in deep trouble.” “What have we got for spending nearly $1 Trillion,” questioned Varney, “we’ve got failure.” Beckel laughingly replied, “Stuart I’d never flip you the bird because you’re my favorite conservative and let me add that we have only spent a third of the $1 Trillion.” Beckel continued, “Everywhere we look we see positive signs the market is rebounding and if we look back a year ago we were in much worse economic condition.” Are we really better off? Ask the nearly 10 percent who’re unemployed if we’re better off having spent all of the money we’ve had. It’s pretty clear what the answer is.
LOOK AT WHERE YOUR JOB'S ARE GOING AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT! WHAT A JOKE!
American University has found nearly $2 Billion from the American Recovery and Investment Act has been spent on wind power. Of the money, nearly 80% has gone to foreign manufacturers of wind turbines.
Stimulus spending is certainly confusing and it’s not clear where all the money is going. In the latest confusing controversy, Investor’s Business Daily reported that the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University has found nearly $2 Billion from the American Recovery and Investment Act has been spent on wind power. Of the money, nearly 80% has gone to foreign manufacturers of wind turbines. “We’re having a hard time distinguishing between thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions and billions,” a half joking Sean argued. With all of the poor decisions that have come out of Washington in the last year, this seems near the top. We’re over-borrowed and financially extended and yet our money is flooding into foreign countries. Seems like we’re just blowing money out the door and it’s not clear anyone is home to close it.
Massachusetts’ Liberal Senate candidate Martha Coakley is at it again with her bizarre and controversial platforms. When asked in an interview about the conscience clause in healthcare, the clause that allows workers in health-care environments to refuse to offer services that conflict with their moral beliefs, she replied that there was no place for such a rule in our healthcare system. “We have a separation of church and state, that much is clear,” argued Coakley, “the law says that people are allowed to have religious freedom but those people probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.” What a liberal separation of church and state! So, what other professions should we limit folks with strong religious beliefs from participating in? School teachers? Firefighters? How about radio talk show hosts? If there was ever a reason for conservatives to get out and vote in Massachusetts, this liberal candid ate would be it. Conservatives everywhere are looking at this race and hoping for the best. {To hear excerpts from this interview, click here!}
Neck-and-Neck
In the show’s final hour, Sean welcomed John Zogby and Scott Rasmussen to discuss their latest polling data for tomorrow’s special election. According to Rasmussen’s latest poll the U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts is essentially a dead heat. The telephone poll of likely voters reported 49-percent support Attorney General Martha Coakley (D) versus the 47-percent behind state Sen. Scott Brown (R). The poll reports a three-percent margin of error. Non-affiliated voters who were surveyed supported Brown by an incredible 71- to 23-percent. Rasmussen reported a 50- to 41-percent edge for Coakley just last week.
Buchanan On Pivotal Massachusetts Race
Political commentator and author Pat Buchanan joined Sean in the shows final hour to discuss the pivotal race in Massachusetts. If Scott Brown comes out of the blue and defeats Martha Coakley for the United States Senate seat, formerly held by Ted Kennedy, it is a revolution. Not only would it be a revolution, Buchanan also predicted it would mean the end of the Democratic health care bill in the Senate. I cant think of a more important political race in recent history than this one. I hate to get my hopes up, but it appears the race is tightening but the Republicans do have a long shot at winning.
GOP candidate Scott Brown landed several zingers against Democratic state Attorney General Martha Coakley in a debate last night in Massachusetts for the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. The host of the debate, David Gergen, asked Brown if he really wanted to sit in Kennedys old seat and block health care reform. "Are you willing, under those circumstances, to say I'm gonna be the person, I'm gonna sit in Teddy Kennedy's seat, and I'm gonna be the person that's gonna block it for another 15 years," Gergen asked. Brown responded, "Well, with all due respect, it's not the Kennedys' seat, and it's not the Democrats' seat, it's the people's seat..." { Watch the video here}. Ouch! Sean commented, that was a great line. This is good stuff. He went into last nights debate prepared. Brown, according to the latest polls, is one point ahead of Coakley. The fact that its this close this late is just additional evidence of how much trouble Democrats are in this year, Sean concluded.
Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Sarasota) joined Sean to discuss his effort to open up health care negotiations to the public. Buchanan has filed a resolution calling for the open negotiations. The reason I introduced this resolution is to make sure there are no back room deals, Buchanan told Sean. We want this to be out in the open, not just between two or three congressional leaders especially for something that is going to affect 1/6th of our economy! So far congressional leaders appear reluctant to have such transparent discussions. Asked about Obamas pledge on the campaign trail for greater transparency, Nancy Pelosi laughed and said, There are a number of things [said] on the campaign trail.'' In fact, Breitbart.com gathered numerous video clips of President Obama promising televised health care negotiations { Watch It Here}. Whether or not his assurances pan out, remains to be seen.
Gov. Sarah Palin
As we first mentioned here yesterday, Sarah Palin called out President Obamas failed approach to national security on her Facebook account this past weekend. Palin joined Sean on the NewsMaker hotline to discuss her comments in greater detail. What we need to do is start out with a Commander In Chief who understands and acknowledges the evil in the Islamic extremist beliefs. [Obama] needs to understand what the War on Terror really means and what these evil extremists are willing to do to get closer to their god, Allah. And to get closer of course, they believe they can kill innocent people or infidels as they call Americans and their allies. Palin stressed that until citizens of the United States believe that Obama fully acknowledges and understands the nature of the threat, they will not trust the White House in a time of war.
As the polls started to turn around in 2009, Republicans have become increasingly empowered at the prospects of winning in 2010. The last few months Sean has brought guests from Newt Gingrich to Dick Morris and Karl Rove on the show to lay out a victory map for 2010. Sean himself even presented the 2010 interactive map where he’s going to add details on upcoming hot races in the House and Senate. Herman Cain offered his thoughts on 2010. He began to argue, “In 2010 we need to maximize our voices, our votes and our valuables.” The basic idea here is that we need to speak up AND vote. Vote in primaries, vote in special elections and vote in November! Finally, it’s important to consider donating to candidates that inspire conservative values. “There are a few specific races, like Pat Toomey against Senator Arlen Specter that could use money because incumbents usually have the upper hand in that area,” argued Cain, “that’s something we can do.” Oh, by the way, Pat Toomey is ahead in the latest
If you had got a headache trying to wade through the Obama Care Reform Bill, you’ll have a migraine by the time you get through the 3,000 page House Statement of Disbursements (SOD). Congress has been required to make Congressional expenditures public for nearly 45 years. This year, the SOD is available online. It turns out Queen Pelosi, as Sean nicknamed her, spent $2,993 on flowers between June and October! “You work hard for your money. You pay a lot in taxes. Liberals are only generous when it comes to YOUR money!” Sean exclaimed. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Pelosi spent $30k on food and beverage and $2,740 on bottled water! “Why do we have to pay for this junk?” asked Sean. “I just don’t get it.” Remember when Pelosi said, “This leadership team will create the most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history"? I guess that d oesn’t apply to her.
Jobs Now Caucus Attacks Obama
It appears that members of President Obama’s own party are accusing his administration of not doing enough to help the unemployment rate. Members of the congressional coalition “Jobs Now”, a group made up of 112 Democrat and 17 Republican legislators, are contemplating a march on Washington to draw attention to the unemployment rate. Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush from Illinois was quoted as saying, “Obviously there’s something that’s not getting through to them and we’re going to let the White House know we have people in our districts who are depending on us to deliver for them.” Sean quickly jumped on this story arguing, “What happened, I thought the stimulus was going to come through for us.” Hannity continued, “I find that pretty interesting but let me tell you this is just democrats running for cover.” It’s hard to find any legislator who wouldn’t be running for cover from the fallout of President Obama’s empty stimulus promises. For many legislators, those promises were the only things that put them in office in the first place. {Article - CNN.com}
