Ron Paul Wins Washington, On Track to Be Nominated at 2012 GOP Convention

April 25, 2012

The Ron Paul “delegate strategy” seems to be working. And he could very well be nominated at the Republican National Convention in Tampa in late summer.

Wow. Twist.

[...] Until recently, this strategy had shown only limited results: the ground-level Paul delegates had not been able to immediately influence the wider state delegate situation. Now, though, caucus states like Washington, Minnesota, and Iowa — each with a complicated system of “bound” and “unbound” delegates — are nominating their delegates to the GOP national convention in Tampa. And the Paul ground game is starting to work, but with some institutional backlash.

Here’s a micro-level example: In Washington over the weekend, Republicans in the 37th Legislative District gathered to vote on their delegates. The meeting saw Ron Paul supporters elect one of their own to chair the process. A Republican Party chairman, though, refused to accept the Paul-supporting chairperson, and ended the meeting, declaring that the meeting was no longer a Republican Party event, but rather a Ron Paul campaign event.

Paul loyalists, of course, still harbor hope for getting their man nominated at the national convention in Tampa in late August. In order to do that, Paul must have a majority of support from at least five state delegations. With states like North Dakota, Minnesota, Maine, and others on track, his supporters could then attempt to nominate him from the floor.

Ron Paul: End the IRS & Abolish the Income Tax

Ron Paul: 4/15/12 - Have you heard the news yet?

Have you heard the news yet?

Yesterday, Minnesota held three district conventions.

Our campaign swept all three - winning nine delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa!

And in Colorado, I picked up 12 delegates and 13 alternate delegates, as my campaign pushed a "unity slate" with Rick Santorum's supporters that ended up with 20 total delegates - while Mitt Romney only walked away with 16 delegates!

The Denver Post even called it a "stunning upset."

With Rick Santorum having suspended his campaign, I'm sure we can persuade more of those delegates over to our side.

I'm also proud that two of my Colorado supporters will serve on the Rules Committee at the National Convention.

This simply confirms what I've been saying all along - this race will be won convention by convention, one delegate at a time.

And while my opponents were focused on winning straw polls, my campaign was laying the foundation for the successes we're experiencing now.

That's why your support for our

contribute whatever you can right away.

And if you've already donated, please consider
chipping in again.

In fact, since Taxpayer Freedom Day - the day when average Americans have finally worked enough to pay their federal, state, and local taxes - is this Tuesday, I've decided to extend the deadline for our Money Bomb through this Tuesday at midnight.

I'm the only candidate in this race who believes Taxpayer Freedom Day should be January 1, and you have my word I will do everything in my power as President to abolish the IRS and make sure Americans can finally keep their hard-earned money.

My campaign's success this weekend demonstrates the American people don't have to settle for a race between President Obama and Mitt Romney over who gets to continue the status quo.

Voters have a clear choice, but with the media doing everything it can to declare this race over, I can't get the word out about my campaign and keep on racking up delegates without your continued support.

There are more conventions coming up in Minnesota and several other states where we can win - if we have the necessary resources.

So please
click here to donate right away.

Whether it's $500, $50, or $5, every dollar will help me march on to Tampa this August!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. This weekend, my campaign swept all three conventions in Minnesota and won a substantial amount of delegates in Colorado, demonstrating the success of our delegate strategy and proving that we will be a force to be reckoned with at the National Convention.

But to keep fighting for every delegate spot and getting the word about my campaign out to the voters, I need your help.

So please
click here right away to give whatever you can to my Taxpayer Freedom Money Bomb, if you haven't yet donated.

If you've already given, I hope you will consider
chipping in again tonight.

Give Me Liberty Money Bomb

Yesterday, my campaign manager, John Tate, sent you a critical email about our upcoming "Give Me Liberty" Money Bomb on March 23.

If you haven't responded to his email by pledging to donate this Friday, I urge you to do so right away.

John reported on the successes we've had with securing the crucial delegate spots needed to win the nomination, and I can tell you that those are just some of the terrific victories we're experiencing.

Here's another one:

*** In Greene County, Missouri, last Saturday, my supporters won 57% of the county's delegate spots - with 63 delegates chosen to go on to the Congressional District and State Conventions! In contrast, Rick Santorum, who was touted by the media for winning the state's beauty contest primary in February, only got 6 delegates (5%).

Matter of fact, one report on the Greene County caucus noted that party members said they had never seen so many young people show up before!

And Missouri's delegates are unbound - meaning they can vote for the candidate of their choice at the Republican National Convention!

these are the kind of results we're seeing in state after state.

Despite what the media says, this race is WIDE OPEN.

No candidate has wrapped up the delegates needed to win.

I can assure you right now that no other campaign is as organized as ours when it comes to doing the hard work needed to fight for delegates.

And no other candidate can rely on as many passionate supporters to sacrifice their time to become delegates.

There's only one thing standing between us and continuing this incredible momentum.

Click to pledge

The plain truth is, if I can't count on the funds to come in, I'm going to have to scale back in states where we could either gain a significant amount of delegates or outright WIN the delegation to the Republican National Convention.

That's why I'm depending on you to give this Friday.

Please pledge now to make your most generous contribution.

This Money Bomb's theme is based on Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty" speech.

Patrick Henry challenged the doubters, the naysayers, and the critics with his powerful words.

He stood up boldly because he relied firmly on timeless principles.

Now, freedom is being challenged again - by our own government.

And, frankly, no other candidate is going to do anything about it.

Sure, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum will tell the voters what they want to hear.

But their records prove how they will actually govern - as big spending, Big Government, status quo politicians.

Will we stand tall at this crucial hour like Patrick Henry did?

Or will we simply stand down?

This Friday's Give Me Liberty Money Bomb is our chance to prove that we're in this race to win.

That means securing delegate spots and providing them with what they need to make it all the way to Tampa.

That means keeping as many staff on the ground as we can in as many states as possible.

That means needing funds to fight back against any attempts to shut us out at the local, state, and national conventions.

And that means I'm relying on you more than ever.

Please, pledge right away and then honor that pledge by donating on March 23.

"Restore America Now" is more than a campaign slogan.

It's what we can DO - if we give it our all when it matters most.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. Patrick Henry stood up to the naysayers and proudly argued for liberty.

Today, our campaign is the only one promising to bring real change and get this nation back on track.

We're experiencing success after success all across the country in securing the delegates critical to winning the nomination.

But if my campaign is to capitalize on this momentum, I must have the funds to strengthen our efforts.

Please, pledge today to donate to our Give Me Liberty Money Bomb on March 23.

I'm relying on you now more than ever.

Ron Paul Is Being Cheated Out of the Republican Nomination.

The GOP establishment has resorted to vote fraud in almost every state

Paul Joseph Watson!/RealAlexJones
Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Despite his runaway success in terms of straw poll victories, campaign contributions and grass roots energy, a plethora of evidence strongly indicates that Ron Paul is being cheated out of winning any of the Republican caucuses, with the GOP establishment desperate to prevent the Texan Congressman from building any kind of momentum that the likes of Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum have been afforded.

Even the establishment media is now being forced to report that "Ron Paul Might Have Won Maine," with evidence of potential vote fraud targeted against Ron Paul prompting the state's GOP chairman Charles Webster to ask for a recount.

With just 84 per cent of the votes being counted, and with many towns and counties showing strong support for Ron Paul having not yet cast their votes, the media along with the Republican establishment brazenly declared Mitt Romney to be the winner, despite him having just a 194 vote lead over Ron Paul.

Erroneous reports of a snowstorm were cited as a pretext to cancel the caucus in Washington County, an area heavily dominated by Paul supporters, delaying the vote for a week. Voters in the county are still waiting to cast their ballots.

"That's right. A prediction of 3-4 inches--that turned into nothing more than a dusting--was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn't be reported tonight," spokesman Gary Howard wrote in an E-mail to supporters, adding that even the local Girl Scouts' meeting survived the weather.

Local reporters in Maine also revealed how the vote for most Waldo County towns was entered as "0", as if no one had turned out to vote.

Rachel Maddow expanded on the reports in a feature on MSNBC, pointing out that when one town in Waldo attempted to call in its results, State officials said they already had results from the town showing Romney had won, when in reality that wasn't the case and in fact Ron Paul had won.

The controversy in Maine follows the admitted mistake in Iowa where Mitt Romney was announced as the winner and yet a later recount found that Rick Santorum had actually beaten him. The kind of momentum Santorum was allowed to build as a result of that revision is unlikely to be afforded to Ron Paul in Maine.

One thousand veterans and active duty troops will shatter the corporate media hoax that insists members of the American military do not support Ron Paul due to his opposition to the unconstitutional forever war agenda of the establishment.

Despite this myth, the New York Times was obliged to admit reality last December, even if the admission wasn’t featured on the front page of the newspaper but instead posted on a remote area of its website.

“Representative Ron Paul, the congressman who favors the most minimalist American combat role of any major presidential candidate and who said all of the above quotes, has more financial support from active duty members of the service than any other politician,” Timothy Egan wrote.

Oliver Stone: I Would Vote For Ron Paul Over Obama

“He’s the only one who’s saying anything intelligent about the world”

Steve Watson
January 24, 2012

Acclaimed film director Oliver Stone, known for such masterpieces as Platoon, JFK and Born on the Fourth of July, has declared he would vote for Ron Paul over Barack Obama, if Paul could secure the 2012 GOP nomination.

Stone made the comments in an interview with Rock Cellar magazine, noting “I think in many ways the most interesting candidate — I’d even vote for him if he was running against Obama — is Ron Paul.”

“He’s the only one of anybody who’s saying anything intelligent about the future of the world.” Stone added.

When asked if an economic collapse would lead to the fall of the American “empire”, Stone responded “I think it’s a given.”

“There’s no way that we can continue this spending spree.” The Wall Street director added.

In 2008, Stone was an outspoken Obama supporter and donated the maximum amounts legally possible to the Obama campaign, calling the eventual president the “heir to John F. Kennedy.”
