The Ron Paul “delegate strategy” seems to be working. And he could very well be nominated at the Republican National Convention in Tampa in late summer.

Wow. Twist.

[...] Until recently, this strategy had shown only limited results: the ground-level Paul delegates had not been able to immediately influence the wider state delegate situation. Now, though, caucus states like Washington, Minnesota, and Iowa — each with a complicated system of “bound” and “unbound” delegates — are nominating their delegates to the GOP national convention in Tampa. And the Paul ground game is starting to work, but with some institutional backlash.

Here’s a micro-level example: In Washington over the weekend, Republicans in the 37th Legislative District gathered to vote on their delegates. The meeting saw Ron Paul supporters elect one of their own to chair the process. A Republican Party chairman, though, refused to accept the Paul-supporting chairperson, and ended the meeting, declaring that the meeting was no longer a Republican Party event, but rather a Ron Paul campaign event.

Paul loyalists, of course, still harbor hope for getting their man nominated at the national convention in Tampa in late August. In order to do that, Paul must have a majority of support from at least five state delegations. With states like North Dakota, Minnesota, Maine, and others on track, his supporters could then attempt to nominate him from the floor.

Yesterday, Minnesota held three district conventions.

Our campaign swept all three - winning nine delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa!

And in Colorado, I picked up 12 delegates and 13 alternate delegates, as my campaign pushed a "unity slate" with Rick Santorum's supporters that ended up with 20 total delegates - while Mitt Romney only walked away with 16 delegates!

The Denver Post even called it a "stunning upset."

With Rick Santorum having suspended his campaign, I'm sure we can persuade more of those delegates over to our side.

I'm also proud that two of my Colorado supporters will serve on the Rules Committee at the National Convention.

This simply confirms what I've been saying all along - this race will be won convention by convention, one delegate at a time.

And while my opponents were focused on winning straw polls, my campaign was laying the foundation for the successes we're experiencing now.

The GOP establishment has resorted to vote fraud in almost every state

Despite his runaway success in terms of straw poll victories, campaign contributions and grass roots energy, a plethora of evidence strongly indicates that Ron Paul is being cheated out of winning any of the Republican caucuses, with the GOP establishment desperate to prevent the Texan Congressman from building any kind of momentum that the likes of Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum have been afforded.

Even the establishment media is now being forced to report that "Ron Paul Might Have Won Maine," with evidence of potential vote fraud targeted against Ron Paul prompting the state's GOP chairman Charles Webster to ask for a recount.

With just 84 per cent of the votes being counted, and with many towns and counties showing strong support for Ron Paul having not yet cast their votes, the media along with the Republican establishment brazenly declared Mitt Romney to be the winner, despite him having just a 194 vote lead over Ron Paul.

Erroneous reports of a snowstorm were cited as a pretext to cancel the caucus in Washington County, an area heavily dominated by Paul supporters, delaying the vote for a week. Voters in the county are still waiting to cast their ballots.

"That's right. A prediction of 3-4 inches--that turned into nothing more than a dusting--was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn't be reported tonight," spokesman Gary Howard wrote in an E-mail to supporters, adding that even the local Girl Scouts' meeting survived the weather.

Local reporters in Maine also revealed how the vote for most Waldo County towns was entered as "0", as if no one had turned out to vote.

Rachel Maddow expanded on the reports in a feature on MSNBC, pointing out that when one town in Waldo attempted to call in its results, State officials said they already had results from the town showing Romney had won, when in reality that wasn't the case and in fact Ron Paul had won.

The controversy in Maine follows the admitted mistake in Iowa where Mitt Romney was announced as the winner and yet a later recount found that Rick Santorum had actually beaten him. The kind of momentum Santorum was allowed to build as a result of that revision is unlikely to be afforded to Ron Paul in Maine.

Acclaimed film director Oliver Stone, known for such masterpieces as Platoon, JFK and Born on the Fourth of July, has declared he would vote for Ron Paul over Barack Obama, if Paul could secure the 2012 GOP nomination.

Stone made the comments in an interview with Rock Cellar magazine, noting “I think in many ways the most interesting candidate — I’d even vote for him if he was running against Obama — is Ron Paul.”

“He’s the only one of anybody who’s saying anything intelligent about the future of the world.” Stone added.

When asked if an economic collapse would lead to the fall of the American “empire”, Stone responded “I think it’s a given.”

“There’s no way that we can continue this spending spree.” The Wall Street director added.

In 2008, Stone was an outspoken Obama supporter and donated the maximum amounts legally possible to the Obama campaign, calling the eventual president the “heir to John F. Kennedy.”
